QUESTION:

So I wrapped up building my PC and everything, except then I understood when I was stopping my Ethernet link in the PC, there were little tabs on the IO safeguard. Would i be able to leave the little tabs there, or do I need to unscrew my motherboard and everything, then, at that point twist the little tabs?

BEST ANSWER:

The tabs are not essential.
They are meant to bend backward to make a good grounding connection between the I/o panel and the motherboard.

If the I/o panel fit is good you can leave the tabs where they are. That assumes you can properly plug in any other peripherals you need without interference. If so, you need do nothing.
But, I suspect that something is amiss and I would take the time to remount the motherboard and tabs properly.
