I'll be sharing what we did to grow viralafrika.com from scratch to hopefully a huge music site in Africa in this thread.

Stay tuned.

THE JOURNEY

It was Oct 6th 2020 when I got a DM from a media company that has a huge interest in both Nigerian and South African Musics.

Though the message was in my inbox for over 3days that I didn't attend to but immediately I saw it, I quickly replied to it.

The following evening, I got a reply back that i was needed on the site to take care of their digital presence that includes SEO, Facebook Marketing and Google ads.

I kinda wanted to decline but I thought about it over and accepted because it was going to be a new experience for me.

I was also given the task to look for writers that are good in their craft and after several interviews, we got 5 writers (we fired 3 later - story for another day).

So, currently, we have Kagho and Paul working on Viralafrika full time.

We also hired a Facebook expert that we later got to fire - story for another day.

The last person we hired was a web designer by name of Victoria that did an awesome work in redesigning the site from top to finish. Though we had a little indexing issues with Google but was later fixed by myself.

We officially started working on Viralafrika.com on Jan 5th 2021 and as the week passes, I'll be updating this thread to give us ideas on what and what we did and what and what we didn't do.
